WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18, 2026


  • The monthly Booster Club Meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm. After the Pledge of Allegiance, roll call was taken. All officers were present.

  • The minutes of the February 16, 2026 meeting were read. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Doug Weiss and seconded by Carol Messina. Motion passed.

  • The Treasurer’s report was read by Judy Fitzgerald. A motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read was made by Pam Laminsky and seconded by Evan Silver. Motion passed.

  • We welcomed Brandyn Pokrass of Metsmerized, who spoke to us about his coverage of the Mets. He gave us some insight on up and coming prospects Carson Benge, AJ Ewing and Jack Wenninger. He also answered questions from members. We thanked him for taking the time to meet with us.

  • Judy gave us a report on the Booster Bash, letting us know that we made a net profit of $1956.00. She also explained that our current balance is unusually high because we have not yet paid for the Open Air Suite.

  • The cost for the bus trip to Miami on May 23rd is $90.00 for members and $95.00 for non-members. It is $50.00 for just a ticket or $50.00 for just the bus. We need 55 people to fill the bus. The 7Line Army will be at the game that day.

  • Bill showed some samples for a proposed product line of Booster Club items, such as pint glasses, mugs and banners. Once we have the details finalized, they will be available on our website.

  • The April, May and June meetings will be at the Holiday Inn Express across from Duffy’s.

  • Save the date of Friday, November 6th for the Fall Luncheon at Meating Street. The cost will be $45.00 per person.

  • We welcomed new members Ruth Smith, Judith Nelson and Malcolm Harris-Gowdie.

  • Winners will be drawn tonight for the 10 signed items.

  • The name called for the 50/50 was Susan Samson, who was present via Zoom and won 75% of the pot.

  • A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Carol Messina and seconded by David Burnett. The meeting was adjourned at 8:02 pm.

The purpose of this organization is to provide support to the New York and St. Lucie Mets organizations, to provide an avenue for indigent and abused children to attend baseball games and to financially support local organizations who help indigent and abused children. The club shall be an informal, family oriented, social organization for the enjoyment of its membership as its priority, Chartered by the State of Florida.
