The monthly Booster Club Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm. After the Pledge of Allegiance, a moment of silence as held for Tim Harkness, Randy Jones and George Altman. Roll call was taken. All officers were present.
St. Lucie Mets General Manager Traer Van Allen went over the busy week the Mets had. He also gave us an overview of some possible events for the week before Spring Training starts.
The minutes of the November 17, 2025 meeting were read. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Doug Weiss and seconded by Jim Tourville. Motion passed.
The Treasurer’s report was read by Judy Fitzgerald. A motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read was made by Carol Messina and seconded by Suzanne Murphy. Motion passed.
Jim thanked everyone who made donations last month. We received a thank you from the Children’s Home Society for our continued support of the WaveCrest Shelter.\Jim donated 10 bobbleheads to be raffled off tonight. At the January, February and March meetings we will have 10 signed items to be raffled, with the winners drawn in March. You do not have to be present to win.
The Spring Gathering will be at Recovery Sports Grill in Tradition on Saturday, March 14th from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. The cost is $30.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members. There will be a special menu provided with several of their popular items available. We will have a large selection of prizes to win. Wear a Mets shirt and you will receive 3 free raffle tickets.
The election for Secretary is being held tonight. As the names of eligible voters are called, they will be given a ballot to be completed and put in the ballot box. If they are attending via Zoom, they will text their vote to our designated poll worker. The votes were counted and the results were 34 votes for Pat Urso and 27 for Karen Gregorovic. A motion to accept the results was made by Joe Grodsky and seconded by Jim Tourville. Motion passed. The Board thanked Carol Hardy and Roger Willis for facilitating the election.
We welcomed new members Michele and John Spara and Jorge and Eireann Garcia.
The name called for the 50/50 was Sue Turner, who was not present and won 50% of the pot.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Carol Messina and seconded by Stephen LaBargo The meeting was adjourned at 8:02 pm.
