• The monthly Booster Club Meeting was called to order at 7:03 pm. After the Pledge of Allegiance, a moment of silence was held for Tommy Reynolds and Octavio Dotel. Roll call was taken. All officers were present.

• The minutes of the March 11, 2025 meeting were read. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Doug Weiss and seconded by Jim Tourville. Motion passed.

• The Treasurer’s report was read by Judy Fitzgerald. A motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read was made by Steven LaBargo and seconded by John Gregorovic. Motion passed.

• Jim was informed that there were several non-members who caused a disturbance on the bus ride home from the Mets vs. Marlins game. Thay have been banned from all future bus trips. The Board apologizes to all who were subjected to the unacceptable behavior. On a more pleasant note, the seats for the game were behind the dugout, a few sections over from where we usually sit.

• We thanked Herb Rein and Ed Delany for donating their photos for our raffles.

• The Mets set a record with over 102,000 fans attending Spring Training games.

• We have reserved an open air suite for the St. Lucie Mets game on Saturday, May 24th. The cost of $55.00 per person includes BBQ food, tax and tip, and a ticket to the 6:10 pm game. It is $40.00 for season ticket holders. We need a minimum of 15 to attend, with a maximum of 35, and payment is due by May 10th,

• After researching venues and costs, we decided to hold a fall event in lieu of our Annual Dinner. It will be held on the outdoor patio at Meating Street in Tradition on Friday, October 24th from 12 noon to 4:00 pm. The cost is $40.00 per person for a buffet and soft drinks. There will be a cash bar available, with Happy Hour from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

• Bill gave us a minor league report. As of tonight, St. Lucie is in second place, Brooklyn is in third, Binghamton is also in second and Syracuse at .500 is in sixth place. Nolan McLean started out as a 2-way player but is now dedicated to pitching in Binghamton. The right-hander has a 0.60 era after three starts, with 2 wins.

• The Silver Sluggers now have over 900 members.

• We welcomed new members Chris and Nancy Vodopia, Helen Heller and Hector Rivera.

• Bill suggested we invite the St. Lucie Mets manager Luis Rivera to attend a meeting. An email will be sent to him. If anyone has any ideas of others to invite, please let us know.

• Member Joe Silecchia spoke to us about Art Shamsky. He is looking to see who would be willing to attend an event, such as a breakfast, at $100.00 per person.

• The name called for the 50/50 was Joe Devine, who was not present and won 50% of the pot.

• A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Steven LaBargo and seconded by John Gregorovic. The meeting was adjourned at 7:38 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Pat Urso, Secretary
