Congratulations to Trey Snyder on being selected as the St Lucie Mets Player of the Month for July 2026!
Snyder had an outstanding July at the plate, batting .394 with a .438 on-base percentage and .592 slugging percentage for a 1.030 OPS over 18 games. He collected 28 hits in 71 at-bats, including six doubles, a triple and two home runs, while driving in 16 runs, scoring 12 and stealing nine bases. Snyder's month included several big performances, including a three-hit game on July 8 and a three-run homer on July 19. The 20-year-old's combination of hitting, extra-base power and speed made him one of St. Lucie's most productive players during July and earned him a promotion to High-A Brooklyn on July 28. Great job Trey!
St Lucie Mets Pitcher of the Month
Congratulations to Elwis Mijares on being selected as the St Lucie Mets Pitcher of the Month for July 2026.
Mijares was dominant out of the St. Lucie bullpen during July. The 20-year-old right-hander appeared in nine games and pitched 15⅓ innings, allowing only nine hits and two earned runs while striking out 20 and walking just five. He finished the month with an impressive 1.17 ERA and 0.91 WHIP, averaging nearly 12 strikeouts per nine innings. Mijares also proved effective in late-game situations, including closing out a 4-1 victory over Jupiter. Featuring a fastball that can reach over 95 mph along with a slider, Mijares' strong July earned him both Pitcher of the Month honors and a promotion to High-A Brooklyn. Great job Elwis!
