• The monthly Booster Club Meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm. After the Pledge of Allegiance, roll call was taken. All officers were present.

• We were pleased to welcome special guests St. Lucie Mets Manager Luis Rivera, along with Pitching Coach Luis Alverado and Hitting Coach Devin DeYoung. Each of them gave us a recap of their history and careers, after which they answered questions from members. They stressed the importance of professional and personal development of the players. We greatly appreciated them spending time with us.

• The minutes of the April 21, 2025 meeting were read. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Paul Samson and seconded by Doug Weiss. Motion passed.

• The Treasurer’s report was read by Judy Fitzgerald. A motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read was made by Joyce King and seconded by Herb Rein. Motion passed.

• We have 31 people signed up to attend the BBQ in the open air suite for the St. Lucie Mets game on Saturday, May 24th.

• In the minor league report Bill let us know that all our teams, except Syracuse, have winning records. He highlighted Binghamton pitcher Jonah Tong, who recently faced the minimum 20 batters in 6.2 innings, and was pulled after 99 pitches.

• Our Fall Event will be on Friday, October 24th from 12 noon to 4:00 pm at Meating Street in Tradition. We are looking for additional prize donations which can be Mets items, gift certificates or simple baskets.

• There is no meeting in July. We are working on having a guest speaker for September or October.

• Contact Joe Silecchia at 516-376-1801 or joe.silecchia@gmail.com if you are interested in attending an event with Art Shamsky. It may be a breakfast or lunch with an event fee of $100.00 per person. Further details will follow as they become available.

• Herb Rein presented us with a challenge coin from Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw in appreciation of our recent donation for the families of fallen officers.

• We welcomed new members Rodolfo and Jessica Diaz of Port St. Lucie.

• The name called for the 50/50 was Anna Mastroianni, who was present on Zoom and won 75% of the pot.

• A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Carolyn Willis and seconded by Susan Samson. The meeting was adjourned at 8:04 pm.

The purpose of this organization is to provide support to the New York and St. Lucie Mets organizations, to provide an avenue for indigent and abused children to attend baseball games and to financially support local organizations who help indigent and abused children. The club shall be an informal, family oriented, social organization for the enjoyment of its membership as its priority, Chartered by the State of Florida.
