• The monthly Booster Club Meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. After the Pledge of Allegiance, a moment of silence was held for broadcaster Tim McCarver. Roll call was taken. All Officers were present.

• The minutes of the February 13, 2023, meeting was read. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Paul Samson and seconded by Doug Weiss. Motion passed.

• The Treasurer’s Report was read by Judy Fitzgerald. A motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report as read was made by Roger Willis and seconded by Susan Samson. Motion passed.

• The Spring Gathering went very well. We had a large array of prizes and 100 attended. The net profit was $2867.47. We thank the Mets for the catering and all the help they provided.

• We welcomed special guest Ethan Wilson, Mets Sr. Director of Communications. He explained that he is the liaison between the media and the players and management. He was very gracious in answering our questions.

• We invited memorabilia trader Johhny Iarusso, known as Johhny Eye, to speak. He had a display set up with many items for sale.

• And we had author David Bagdade explain how he became a Mets fan and his fascination with the 1962 Mets. He had his revised edition of A Year in Mudville: The Full Story of Casey Stengel and the Original Mets available for sale.

• Kasey Blair told us that St. Lucie Mets season ticket information will be going out soon. The Amazin’ Mets Foundation will be conducting a 50/50 drawing at each game of Spring Training and weekly during the St. Lucie season. The proceeds stay local and will benefit Christmas for Kids, Special Olympics and Vietnam Veterans.

• The drawing for prizes that started at the February meeting will be held tonight.

• The next meeting on April 17 th will be back in the conference room at Clover Park.

• Membership Chairperson Mary Ann jones welcomed new members James McKeon, Vincent Porcaro, Michael Fine, James Conway, Glenn Turner, Michael and Janet Fiume, Michael and Christine Glennon, Thomas Kelly, Robin, and Bruce Lieberman and returning member Sam

Bruning.

• The name called for the 50/50 was Laura Mance, who was not present and won 50% of the pot.

• A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Pam Laminsky and seconded by Lynne Skell. The meeting was adjourned at 7:59 p.m.

The purpose of this organization is to provide support to the New York and St. Lucie Mets organizations, to provide an avenue for indigent and abused children to attend baseball games and to financially support local organizations who help indigent and abused children. The club shall be an informal, family oriented, social organization for the enjoyment of its membership as its priority, Chartered by the State of Florida.
