• The monthly Booster Club Meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. After the Pledge of Allegiance, a moment of silence was held for former Mets pitcher Dennis Ribant. Roll call was taken. All Officers were present.

• The minutes of the April 17, 2023 meeting were read. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Joyce King and seconded by Roger Willis. Motion passed.

• The Treasurer's Report was read by Judy Fitzgerald. A motion to accept the Treasurer's Report as read was made by Stephen LaBargo and seconded by Joyce King. Motion passed.

• Wilma Osterhoudt introduced representatives of the Salvation Army Food Pantry, who thanked us for our generous donation. They let us know that over 2000 people use the pantry each month.

• We thanked Ed Delany for providing photos for our meeting raffles.

• Jim is working on the tentative bus trip to Miami on Wednesday, September 20th for the 6:40 p.m. game. As long as we have 40 people confirmed for the bus, we will make the trip.

• There will be a watch party at Duffy’s in St. Lucie West on Saturday, June 3rd for the Blue Jays vs. Mets 4:10 p.m. game. We will meet in the back room at 3:30 p.m. Wear a Mets shirt and you will get a free raffle ticket. Each person will be responsible for their own food and drinks.

• Bill reported that none of our Minor League teams have a winning record. He highlighted St. Lucie Mets right-handed pitcher Jawilme Ramirez, who currently has a 2.73 ERA.

• Our Annual Dinner on Saturday, November 11, 2023 will have a “Ya Gotta Believe” theme, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Mets.

• We have the volunteers for our table at the St. Lucie Mets game on Saturday, May 27th. We will be handing out small toys to the children and will also have information about the Booster Club available.

• Please remember that there is no meeting in July. We will call the July 50/50 number based on the June attendance.

• The name called for the 50/50 was Janet Lapham, who was not present and won 50% of the pot.

• A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Wilma Osterhoudt and seconded by Ken Osterhoudt. The meeting was adjourned at 7:37 p.m.

The purpose of this organization is to provide support to the New York and St. Lucie Mets organizations, to provide an avenue for indigent and abused children to attend baseball games and to financially support local organizations who help indigent and abused children. The club shall be an informal, family oriented, social organization for the enjoyment of its membership as its priority, Chartered by the State of Florida.
