• The monthly Booster Club Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm. After the Pledge of Allegiance, a moment of silence was held for original Met Joe Christopher. Roll call was taken. All Officers were present.

• The minutes of the September 18, 2023 meeting were read. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Steven LaBargo and seconded by Joyce King. Motion passed.

• The Treasurer's Report was read by Judy Fitzgerald. A motion to accept the Treasurer's Report as read was made by Floyd Spanier and seconded by Joyce King. Motion passed.

• Our Annual Dinner will begin with a cocktail hour at 6:00 pm on Saturday, November 11. A cash bar will be available and your payment of $50.00 per person must be received by October 31. The Board will be inviting Buzz Capra and Felix Millan to join us.

• We will be collecting toys for the WPSL Christmas Kids and non-perishable food for the Children’s Home Society Wavecrest Shelter at the November meeting. At the Board’s recommendation, a motion to donate $250.00 to each of these organizations was made by Roger Willis and seconded by John Gregorovic. Motion passed.

• All Officer positions are up for election in December for a two year term. Members in good standing, aged 18 or older, having attended at least four meetings during the year, are eligible to run. You can nominate yourself by having a letter of intent read at the November meeting.

• Bill reported on the final records for the minor league teams. Syracuse was 61-85, Binghamton was 74-61 and ended in 2nd place in the Eastern League, Brooklyn was 66-65, St. Lucie was 44-84, and the FCL Mets were 32-18. The organization’s player of the year was Jett

Williams, and the pitcher was Christian Scott. Both advanced through three levels during the season.

• The location for the February and March meetings has not yet been determined.

• Wilma Osterhoudt has Enjoyment Books for sale at $35.00 each, benefiting Faith Congregational Church.

• Kasey Blair went over the Silver Sluggers program, as there are now two levels of membership, $50.00 for Tuesday games and $90.00 for Tuesday and Friday games. You can check the St. Lucie Mets website for details and to sign up.

• Mary Ann Jones let us know about some community support opportunities. The local libraries are holding a Peanut Butter Drive and Sprouts Farmers Market has Grab and Give Bags for donations of $10.00 or $13.00, with items given to the Treasure Coast Food Bank.

• The name called for the 50/50 was Steve Mance, who was present via Zoom and won 75% of the pot.

• A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Steven LaBargo and seconded by Betty Brennan. The meeting was adjourned at 7:32 pm.

The purpose of this organization is to provide support to the New York and St. Lucie Mets organizations, to provide an avenue for indigent and abused children to attend baseball games and to financially support local organizations who help indigent and abused children. The club shall be an informal, family oriented, social organization for the enjoyment of its membership as its priority, Chartered by the State of Florida.
