May 2026 - Volume 38 - Issue 5

MONDAY, APRIL 20, 2026

  • The monthly Booster Club Meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm. After the Pledge of Allegiance, a moment of silence was held for Larry Stahl and Tom Nieto. Roll call was taken. All officers were present.

  • The minutes of the March 18, 2026 meeting were read. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Steve LaBargo and seconded by Carol Messina. Motion passed.

  • The Treasurer’s report was read by Judy Fitzgerald. A motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read was made by Doug Weiss and seconded by Carolyn Willis. Motion passed.

  • We thanked Ed Delany for providing us with photos he took during Spring Training for our meeting raffles.

  • The bus trip to Miami has been cancelled since we only had 33 people sign up.

  • We made a net profit of $220.00 on the Open Air Suite. It went very well and we plan on doing it again next Spring.

  • In the Minor League report, Bill let us know that St. Lucie and Syracuse have winning records. Brooklyn is in last place, and Binghamton is 2 ½ games out of first. He highlighted AJ Ewing as a real deal hitter, with more walks than strike outs.

  • We have several items with our classic logo available for sale on our website under the shop tab. Since they are made to order, there are no returns. Bill has ordered some items to check the quality and sizing and will let us know how they run.

  • The May and June meetings will be at the Holiday Inn Express across from Duffy’s.

  • The buffet-style Fall Luncheon will be from 12 noon to 4:00 pm on Friday, November 6th at Meating Street.

  • We welcomed new members Donald and Carolyn Holland on Old Bethpage, NY.

  • In partnership with the Boys and Girls Club, we will sponsor two groups of 30 people to St. Lucie Mets games. We will also provide food and tickets to the Nets Club of Martin County.

  • The name called for the 50/50 was Tammy DeRovira, who was present via Zoom and won 75% of the pot.

  • A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Carol Messina and seconded by John Gregorovic. The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 pm.

Respectfully submitted,
